Summary

Can a fantasy about being shared turn into something more? Bowen's about to find out when he gets Mountain topped。

Is there a bigger gay cliché than falling in love with your straight best friend? Oh, I know; a random hookup with a dude from the gym。

I didn't think I'd ever manage to fall for anyone other than the unattainable Hawthorne, but the more time I spend with Aldis the more I… like him。

As for my straight best friend… do straight guys usually stare so much when you're wearing gray sweatpants?

I never thought the drunken admission of my deepest fantasy would lead to the three of us hooking up and Hawthorne looking at me like that。 Now my best friend and my hookup-turned-more are bonding over their shared love of mountain climbing, the three of us are, ahem, exploring, and I'm hoping this is more than just a messy fling。

Two authors like Mia Monroe and K。M。 Neuhold are bound to write a good story。Mountain Topped is a great dive into a blossoming three way relationship with a very interesting dynamic。 We have friends to lovers, first time gay and it makes for a really entertaining (and seriously hot) read。The authors chose to bring laser focus to the relationship itself and the interaction with the outside world is really minimal。 I kind of missed some good secondary characters to make the story feel less isolate Two authors like Mia Monroe and K。M。 Neuhold are bound to write a good story。Mountain Topped is a great dive into a blossoming three way relationship with a very interesting dynamic。 We have friends to lovers, first time gay and it makes for a really entertaining (and seriously hot) read。The authors chose to bring laser focus to the relationship itself and the interaction with the outside world is really minimal。 I kind of missed some good secondary characters to make the story feel less isolated, but other than that it’s a piece of really good writing and I had lots of fun with these guys。 。。。more

Falling for your straight best friend always seems to end in heartbreak, but once in a while fate has other plans。 These two authors always shine on their own, although together they are exceptional as well。 I really enjoyed this book。 The communication between all three characters made their relationship soar and their chemistry was off the charts! I hope these two do another collaboration together!

I didn’t really care for the opening scene – over the top and rushed - and the book never recovered from that for me。 The character development was almost non-existent。 I’m glad the authors reminded me these guys were 40 years old a couple of times because I forgot…these characters were more like college-aged kids。 The pace of the story was so rushed, it felt like it was on fast-forward for some reason。I’m never a fan of instalove and this book had that in spades。 Bowen and Hawthorne have an exi I didn’t really care for the opening scene – over the top and rushed - and the book never recovered from that for me。 The character development was almost non-existent。 I’m glad the authors reminded me these guys were 40 years old a couple of times because I forgot…these characters were more like college-aged kids。 The pace of the story was so rushed, it felt like it was on fast-forward for some reason。I’m never a fan of instalove and this book had that in spades。 Bowen and Hawthorne have an existing relationship, but Aldis is new to the scene, and everyone is in love with each other in a couple of weeks?Thankfully, Bowen listens to a podcast in which he learns communication is key otherwise we would have had communication issues on top of everything else。 This story has so much potential – I love a good friends-to-lovers story – but with the age-inappropriate behavior, the overly fast pace of the book, and lack of character development, this book fell completely flat。  。。。more

This book has it all。 Gay awakening, self discovery, friends to lovers, and polyamory。 This well written story is a fun, hot and steamy, emotional ride to finding love。 Love has its many forms and this book shows that three is the magic number。 Now where does one find Lumber-snacks? Sweet poly romance Hrm where to start。 I enjoyed all three men and how they interacted with one another。 I do wish we met some of their friends and could see them have a life outside of each other。。。that was the only reason I took a star away。。。the entire book was just their relationship with no outside life/friends/family。 Otherwise the book was great。 A lot of good sex scenes!

Fun fast readThis was an enjoyable non-angsty read。 Starts with Aldis and Bowen meeting and quickly introduces Hawthornes interest into them both。 The pacing is fast but flows well overall。

great MMMGreat polyamory story。 I loved how communication was the strong point throughout。 Sweet and sexy with relatively low angst。 Wonderful!!

Once upon a time, there were two authors that wrote some pretty great books。 Books with depth, heart, soul… something you couldn’t wait to read。Then something changed a year ago, and the quality of writing dropped。 The soul was gone。 The heart was gone。 And it breaks this former fan’s heart。Then those two authors decide to collab。And it ends up being the most soulless, trashiest, cringiest, icky dude bro, mediocre trio white boy porn… that ever existed。 As I read, I had to keep reminding myself Once upon a time, there were two authors that wrote some pretty great books。 Books with depth, heart, soul… something you couldn’t wait to read。Then something changed a year ago, and the quality of writing dropped。 The soul was gone。 The heart was gone。 And it breaks this former fan’s heart。Then those two authors decide to collab。And it ends up being the most soulless, trashiest, cringiest, icky dude bro, mediocre trio white boy porn… that ever existed。 As I read, I had to keep reminding myself that this is by two popular and seasoned authors。 Pretty sure this is one of the worst books I’ve ever read。 I want to be mad, but I just don’t care enough about this book to put that much energy in。 What I do care about is these authors taking a step back to reassess their writing, their editors, and alpha readers。 I need 2020 and before Neuhold and Monroe back。 。。。more

So goodI really enjoyed this book。 A lot of time I have a hard time reading about poly relationships。 I always feel stuff/kissing/sex should happen b/w certain MC's before the other MC's, based on their histories together, when it doesn't it leaves me feeling resentment and anger towards certain MC's and upset for the other one。 But this book was like Goldiocks and the 3 Bears for me, Everything was just right! That MMM book was hawt…! Talk about chemistry between Aldis, Bowen and Hawthorne。 All three of them are in their late thirties and don’t shy about stuff。 They communicate, even though they’re all new to polyamory。 There are no unnecessary drama, just plain getting to know you things。 What a delightful read!

The good+ The way Aldis glues everyone together, and how selfless he is in his efforts to bring Bowen and Hawthorne together+ That each separate pairing has their own thing they do together (Bowen and Hawthorne have their business, Hawthorne and Aldis have their rock climbing, Aldis and Bowen have their gym time)+ How everyone attempted to communicate openly from the very beginning+ How often the perspective changed。 The reader had enough opportunities to get to know each character from inside t The good+ The way Aldis glues everyone together, and how selfless he is in his efforts to bring Bowen and Hawthorne together+ That each separate pairing has their own thing they do together (Bowen and Hawthorne have their business, Hawthorne and Aldis have their rock climbing, Aldis and Bowen have their gym time)+ How everyone attempted to communicate openly from the very beginning+ How often the perspective changed。 The reader had enough opportunities to get to know each character from inside their own heads+ (view spoiler)[Aldis moving in quickly, so he no longer had the disadvantage of being the only guy living apart (hide spoiler)]The neutralo There was too much sex for my liking, and too little romance。 But that's a personal preferenceo I often lost track of whose head I was in currently, because they all seemed quite the sameThe bad- The small misunderstanding。 At least it wasn't a big misunderstanding, but it didn't fit in the story at all, had no impact, and was resolved within the same chapter。 Why add it at all?- Aldis described Bowen's package as having big, saggy balls。 If there's ever any way to describe someone that's fucking unsexy and a little gross, it's using the phrase saggy balls- The only characters in this book were the three guys。 Jess, Hawthorne's ex-girlfriend, was mentioned in passing, but there was never a conversation with anyone not in their throuple outside of ordering drinks from a waiter。 Not even family members or any close friendsOverall, I liked this book。 It wasn't perfect, but I liked their dynamics and how equal everyone was in this relationship despite the worries Hawthorne and Aldis had about being kicked out。 I would definitely recommend it。 。。。more

Thoroughly enjoyed Bowen ,Thorne and Aldis, steamy from the start to finish。Bowen has had a crush on his best friend Thorne forever, but Thorne only dated women。To try to forget about Thorne he starts hooking up with Aldis。Thorne splits up from his long term girlfriend, and starts feeling thing for Bowen and Aldis。 Not understanding。 The men work through everything together 。 Hot and steamy。Thoroughly enjoyed。I received an advanced copy of this book for a honest review

Mountain Topped, by two amazing authors。It's one hot AF story, that's for sure, and the love between all three。。。so amazing! It was so hard for me to remember these guys were almost 40, because they read and spoke like try-hard college-aged dude bros who just decided to jump into bed together。 Everything moved way too fast, there was no spark of attraction that could grow, and I felt no connection between the characters。 Their relationship was so flat because there wasn't that initial connection or attraction that could grow naturally。 After a while Aldis' dialogue and internal thoughts just became quite creepy。 I lov It was so hard for me to remember these guys were almost 40, because they read and spoke like try-hard college-aged dude bros who just decided to jump into bed together。 Everything moved way too fast, there was no spark of attraction that could grow, and I felt no connection between the characters。 Their relationship was so flat because there wasn't that initial connection or attraction that could grow naturally。 After a while Aldis' dialogue and internal thoughts just became quite creepy。 I love Neuhold's books, but oh my god this was painful to read。 I definitely don't understand all the high ratings and glowing reviews。 This book is just awful。 。。。more

I had fun with this story。 Aldis, Bowen, and Hawthorne are interesting guys that get your attention。 While they are all different they share common interests and that gets them in the door with each other。 Aldis has so much patience and since he is coming from the outside he is able to see what neither of the others see in each other。I think these three together are a good match and I like their dynamic as a unit。 I Think that this was nicely written and it portrayed all of the characters so tha I had fun with this story。 Aldis, Bowen, and Hawthorne are interesting guys that get your attention。 While they are all different they share common interests and that gets them in the door with each other。 Aldis has so much patience and since he is coming from the outside he is able to see what neither of the others see in each other。I think these three together are a good match and I like their dynamic as a unit。 I Think that this was nicely written and it portrayed all of the characters so that we can understand where they are each coming from。 I like how the story played out and am happy with how everything went down。This is a good read that you should check out。 This is not a love triangle, it is three men finding their missing pieces。 。。。more

I freaking loved this book! My first poly book was by K。 M。 Neuhold and I haven’t looked back since。 Mia Monroe is a new author to me but i have become a fast fan。 I don’t want to go into a lot of detail on each character because I don’t want to just recap the book。 So I am going to list the 3 words that come to my mind when I think of each of these guys。Bowen: Endearing, vulnerable, and steadfast。Aldis: Confident, charismatic, and selfless。 Hawthorne: Clueless (not in a bad way though), open mi I freaking loved this book! I liked it , but not a lot。 I think with 220 something pages it’s hard to have a lot of relationship development ,Especially with a throuple。 I missed that extra layer that both of the authors are very capable of giving to us in other books。 It was very fast paced (maybe a little too), and struggles and insecurities were overcome and resolved to fast in my opinion。 But it was fun and I didn’t feel like one was less involved or loved。 Which I absolutely hate about some mmm books。 I also liked all I liked it , but not a lot。 I think with 220 something pages it’s hard to have a lot of relationship development ,Especially with a throuple。 I missed that extra layer that both of the authors are very capable of giving to us in other books。 It was very fast paced (maybe a little too), and struggles and insecurities were overcome and resolved to fast in my opinion。 But it was fun and I didn’t feel like one was less involved or loved。 Which I absolutely hate about some mmm books。 I also liked all three of them。 。。。more
